Eizo CG222W 22” Monitor – High standards of on-screen colour accuracy
Part of Eizo’s ColorEdge range, the Eizo CG222W 22” widescreen monitor
offers the strong levels of colour accuracy needed for colour critical
applications such as digital photography, graphic design, pre-press and
printing. A wide gamut display covering 92% of the Adobe RGB colour
space, the CG222W features EIZO’s Digital Uniformity Equalizer (DUE)
function for colour uniformity across the screen. The CG222W also
offers 12-bit hardware calibration and a 16-bit internal processing –
64 times as accurate as standard 10-bit processing. With a monitor hood
included and an industry-leading five-year warranty, the Eizo CG222W is
an excellent value colour accurate monitor package.
Features:
Widescreen format – A 16:10 aspect ratio offers more horizontal viewing space than conventional monitors.
Wide colour gamut – The CG222W reproduces 97% of the sRGB colour-space
and 92% of Adobe RGB, plus CMYK colour-spaces used for printing,
resulting in reliable soft proofs when calibrated.
16-bit internal processing – 64 times more accurate than
standard 10-bit processing, the 16-bit internal calculation of the
CG222W produces high quality greyscale rendering, resulting in a much
greater degree of detail in dark areas and increased overall uniformity
of brightness and colour throughout the entire screen.
8ms mid-tone response time – The built-in overdrive circuit
enhances the CG222W’s moving image playback capabilities, with a vastly
improved response time for changing between midtones or grey levels –
essential to display colour images without blurring.
EIZO’s Digital Uniformity Equalizer (DUE) function - Brightness and
colour compensation for enhanced colour uniformity, with a Delta-E
difference of 3 or less across the screen.
Brightness stabilisation function – EIZO patented technology
offers a drift correction sensor, quickly stabilising brightness levels
after start-up or when coming out of power saving mode, ensuring
accurate display of colour. The CG222W also detects and automatically
compensates for brightness changes caused by surrounding temperatures
and drift over time.
Colour vision deficiency simulation – The included UniColor
Pro software simulates two types of red-green colour vision deficiency
in real time – even for moving images – allowing designers to identify
colour schemes that may be difficult for some to view.
Gamma adjustment – Using the CG222W’s 12-bit Look-Up Table
(LUT), Eizo technicians carefully measure and set every shade of R, G,
and B from 0 - 255 for each monitor to produce the most accurate and
consistent colour gradations possible. The CG222W is shipped set to the
optimum gamma of 2.2; however, should you prefer a different value,
this can be set from a range of 1.0 up to 2.6 in increments of 0.1 in
the ColorNavigator software.
Placement flexibility with Portrait Mode – The stand is
height adjustable through an 82mm range and provides 40° tilt and 70°
swivel, and also pivots 90° for portrait viewing. Compatibility with
VESA mounting standards allows the monitor to be removed from the stand
for mounting on a movable arm or wall bracket.
